Villa Cavour is located on the beautiful Hervey Bay promontory of Point Vernon, only 50 metres from the Esplanade. The “Queenslander” style home features three spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms with king beds and ensuites upstairs; one more air-conditioned bedroom downstairs, overlooking the garden, with queen bed or two singles. Rooms are serviced daily and provide a TV/DVD player, mini-fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Free wireless internet is provided and a DVD collection is available. The combined lounge and dining room makes for a cosy space to enjoy an “aperitivo” before dinner, a “caffe’ espresso” or a “cioccolata calda”, especially in winter time when the fireplace will warm you up.
The B & B is surrounded by gum and mango trees populated by friendly little birds that will entertain you with their singing and can be fed from your own balcony.
There is also a vegetable garden, where organic vegetables and herbs are grown and used by Rocco to compliment his traditional cooking.
You can work out in the morning in the swimming pool, enjoy the spa or simply relax on the verandah in the afternoon while waiting for Rocco to cook you some fresh bread, grissini or pizza in the wood-fired oven on the gazebo.
Breakfast is your choice of full cooked or continental, served in your room, on your own balcony or in the dining room. A very hot cappuccino with a freshly-baked croissant can make you feel like you're in one of the famous Torino cafés!
If you're feeling peckish Rocco is more than happy to cook some traditional Piemontes specialties and can also teach you some of the tricks of the trade with a range of cooking classes, starting from the basics, such as how to prepare fresh egg pasta or Bolognese sauce, to some more difficult recipes, like antipasti and desserts.
The menu changes day-by-day, subject to the availability of fresh seasonal product, to satisfy your personal requests... or based on the chef's temperament! We cater for vegetarians, those with gluten intolerance and other special dietary requirements.
